Battery return scheme

Thorlux Lighting produces and supplies industrial batteries with its emergency luminaires and other such products. Thorlux also provides replacement batteries. As such, Thorlux also must take back any waste batteries it has previously supplied from any end user. This service is free of charge.

In the first instance, users looking to dispose of batteries from Thorlux luminaires should complete the online form below. Once this is received, Thorlux will contact you to issue a returns authority form.

Please note – it is the user’s responsibility to arrange the safe shipping of the waste batteries to Thorlux. The sender (i.e., the user) will bear any shipping or packing costs incurred. Thorlux can only take receipt of batteries with a return authority form.

Please pack returned used batteries in a safe condition. Remove all leads and wired connections. Bare terminals should be insulated to prevent the risk of arcing contacts sparking a fire. Sufficiently pack the batteries for safe transportation. Please include a copy of the return authority form in the package.

Upon receipt of the authorised returns package, Thorlux Lighting will take full responsibility for the disposal of the batteries via Ecobat, an Approved Battery Treatment Operator.
